The Spring 2022 Semi-Annual IACUC inspections will be​​​​​​ conducted across all UCSF campuses in the month of March. 

COVID-19 Safe Inspection:

We are maximizing physical distancing as a safety precaution during inspections.  As such, we are not requiring the lab to be present for LARC-overseen locations if the space is accessible and it is acceptable for LARC to act as guides through these spaces.

However, we would like the ability to contact a knowledgeable lab member if pressing questions arise. Therefore, labs will be asked to provide a viable contact who can be reached by phone during the inspection time. 

If your lab is solely responsible for a housing or procedure room, we request a lab representative be present. We will attempt to call or text before arrival. Be aware that the following is required during inspection according to the COVID-19 Resources:

1. UCSF daily health screen must be completed prior to arrival. Stay home if you are sick and contact us if you cannot make it to a pre-arranged meeting.
2. Wear a face covering over nose and mouth during facility inspection.
3. Physically distance by staying away from others during the inspection as much as possible & sanitize hands/gloves frequently.
